Using proper permits, an annual harvest is conducted salvaging ‘wild’ timber within the Squamish Forest district prior to logging activity.
The wood is then power washed to remove bark and soft wood and stored for air-drying in the wildwood shelters.
		Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar, Douglas Fir, Mountain Hemlock and Yew Wood are the most common species collected.
