Using proper permits, an annual harvest is conducted salvaging
‘wild’ timber within the Squamish
Forest district prior to logging activity.
The wood is then
power washed to remove bark and soft wood and stored for
air-drying in the wildwood shelters. |

Architects, builders, designers and artists can now access and
choose individual pieces from the wildwood gallery for
their own projects.

Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar,
Douglas Fir,
Mountain Hemlock and Yew
Wood are the
most common species
collected. |

Old growth Red and
Yellow Cedar produce amazing candelabra tops. These branches
make great natural knee braces in highlighting timber framing or
log construction. This photo shows an exceptionally wild branch.
