As of December 15th, 2025, I am now offering a second accommodation here at the Tantalus View Retreat. And that is the upper level of my beautifully hand-crafted log home. Perfect for one couple, this delightful accommodation offers a king size bed with ensuite bathroom and large fully-equipped kitchen. An ornate gas fireplace glows in the Great Room with its timbers supporting the vaulted ceiling and large gable windows looking out at the gardens and tumbling waterfalls beyond. Inside...the Chalet
You’ll find the open floor plan of the chalet is tastefully decorated with hand-crafted salvaged wood accent pieces conducive to its natural environment.
The main floor has a cozy feel with a full dining room set, area rugs on tile floors, an ornate, cast iron gas fireplace and comfortable recliners.
The fully-equipped kitchen has everything for your cooking needs such as pure drinking water from the tap, a full-size fridge/freezer, gas stove/oven, kettle & tea, pots, pans, dishes & utensils, coffee-making systems and some of the basic condiments.
Whilst you’ll be Wi-Fi liberated… you will still have excellent cell phone reception.
Bedrooms & Bathroom
The 3-piece main floor bathroom presents a Douglas fir slab vanity, a wild-wood mirror, fluffy towels for showering and hot-tubbing.
Two private bedrooms, located on the upper level, have wall-to-wall carpet, unique cedar furnishings, and snug queen-size beds with cozy blankets and linens. The master bedroom also has a balcony with bench.
Cozy bath robes, towels & linens are all included.

Custom Guided Hikes – a snowshoe trek in winter or interpretive hike in summer or mushroom foraging in fall. All options include a quad ride to the upper trailheads.
